The corso California RT track testing at m1 concourse in Pontiac, MI

Our “F1-inspired” steering wheel keeps all major controls (including paddle shifters) at the driver’s fingertips so your hands can stay safely on the wheel.

At Corso Concepts we design, engineer and build unique, race-inspired vehicles for the street. Our latest vehicle, the Corso California RT, is poised to become a unique entry into the high-end reverse trike market.

The Corso California RT is the result of distilling the design and engineering “lessons learned” and  public response of our flagship vehicle, the Velox, into final form. To make a product unlike anything on the road, we decided on a single-seat reverse trike layout. Our vehicle transforms you from a regular commuter into an F1 driver the minute your bottom touches the carbon fiber seat. The Corso California RT’s innovative approach can be boiled down to four main principles:

1) Visceral Experience:

Imagine yourself sitting in the center of the lightest vehicle you’ve ever driven.

Helmet on: Check.

Driving gloves: Check.

5-point racing harness buckled and tight: Check.

You reach over and push the ‘start’ button. The 175hp Hayabusa engine roars to life producing the  sound only a small displacement, high revving engine can. You briefly consider: “Am I dreaming I’m  in a Formula 1 race?” No. You are strapped into the Corso California RT ready to hit warp speed.  You push the clutch in and pull the ‘+’ paddle towards you locking the sequential gearbox into 1st  gear. You are now ready to unleash the 11,000 rpm gasoline-powered symphony directly behind you  to speeds that will make your friend’s jaws drop in envy. Are you ready?

2) Designed for Performance:

The Corso California RT utilizes a low curb weight of 1,000lbs and a high-revving 175hp engine to imbue  top-echelon racing performance. The Corso California RT’s impressive performance isn’t limited to straight lines either. With a race-inspired front inboard suspension, complete with billet aluminum bellcranks and uprights, the agile performance of this lightweight machine continues to shine when the road gets twisty. A quick-ratio manual steering rack provides precise steering feedback while the steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters ensure your hands stay calmly on the wheel as you row through the 6-speed sequential gearbox. The Corso California RT truly brings the Formula 1 experience to the street…..legally.

3) Safety:

With the ability to reach staggering speeds, the need for safety becomes paramount. Unlike the  sportbikes that are closest in power-to-weight performance potential, the Corso California nestles  you safely into a steel roll cage with no possibility of an unintended event laying you on the pavement. This allows customers who have never felt comfortable pulling 70mph wheelies on sport bikes to enjoy a similar level of performance in a much safer package.

4) Build Experience:

The Corso California RT can be purchased in two forms: a “build it yourself” kit or “complete.” A custom build experience is included for all “complete” customers of the Corso California RT. This hands-on approach connects the customer to the vehicle and the Corso brand in a way that buying off the showroom floor could never duplicate.

In addition, due to the extremely low production volumes each vehicle is built-to-order. Meaning each build is custom-tailored to the customer’s individual preference through various color, carbon fiber and mechanical options.
